AN ECO-FRIENDLY SHOEBOX 

The role of packaging in environmental issues is often overlooked. 1 billion parcels are shipped in France every year, and while over-packaging is increasingly common, only 4% of plastics are recycled in France. So, in order to limit, on our own scale, this increase in polluting over-packaging, we naturally turned to recycled and recyclable cardboard for our shoeboxes.resence of glue.

 

WITHOUT OVERWRAPPING

The choice of our shoe box also allows us to send pairs without the need for overpacking, and thus avoid the use of an extra cardboard box that will automatically be thrown away. This box costs us more, and may arrive a little damaged to some customers, but it's our choice in order to reduce the over-packaging needed to ship shoes.

As you can see, ethical production includes the manufacturing process, logistics and marketing of the finished product. Using cardboard allows us to limit our carbon footprint and stay in line with our commitment to eco-responsibility.

100% EUROPEAN PRODUCTION 

 

Our shoes are designed in Paris at Franceand produced in our artisanal factories in Portugal. As for the recycled tire soles, they are designed in Portugal, traveling only a few dozen kilometers to reach our manufacturing plants.

Logistics, increasingly globalized, has become one of the key issues in air pollution. So we set out to find solutions that would enable us to act at our own level.

90% of urban deliveries are still made by motorized means of transport, and account for 25% of greenhouse gas emissions in major cities.

AN ECO-RESPONSIBLE DELIVERY SERVICE 

While we're proud of our European craftsmanship, we want to do even better when it comes to the final delivery of our shoes. That's why we've chosen to deliver some of our orders from the Paris region to velo.  

Ultimately, O.T.A. is a philosophy. A philosophy that agrees that all means, even the smallest, are good for limiting the ecological impact of each and every one of us.

 

BUS DELIVERY WITH PIMPAMPOST 

To go even further in reducing the environmental impact of our logistics, O.T.A has worked in the past with PimPamPost to offer a more sustainable and eco-responsible delivery method. This logistics partner uses the space left vacant by private or public road or rail transport vehicles, reducing carbon emissions by almost 95%.  PimPamPost has refocused its business for the moment on the French market, but we very much hope to have the opportunity to work with them again in the future.
